John-Paul Moore (JP) is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of JP Designs Art, one of the fastest rising creative firms in the country. With a sharp conceptual eye and a flair for dynamic visual communication, Moore built JP Designs Art into a full service company in less than a decade. The company offers web design, logos, branding, illustration, photography, videography, CD packaging, apparel, book covers, and other tools essential to cutting edge brand marketing in the digital age.
A preacher’s kid and native of San Diego, California, Moore began his career in retail merchandising, where his creativity and marketing savvy earned him the post of Marketing Manager for internationally renowned apparel brand IZOD. There he designed interior marketing and campaigns for more than 130 IZOD stores across the globe.
During his 7 year career helping IZOD earn record breaking profits, Moore’s passion for design increased. He continued to elevate his expertise with ongoing training in emerging digital design technologies, and soon began offering his services to clients on a freelance basis. Moore officially launched JP Designs Art full-time in December 2010. JP Designs Art now employs over 7 team members consisting of a Operations Team, Creative Strategists, Web Developers and Assistant Designers.
Based in Atlanta, through JP Designs Art, Moore has brought a unique visual signature to events and campaigns for performance rights organization BMI; Atlanta’s prestigious Martin Luther King, Jr. Center for Non-Violent Social Change; the late Whitney Houston’s WhitNip, Inc.; RCA Inspiration; Plastiq Magazine; The Legacy of Munroe Global Brands and R&B vocalists Ledisi, Tamar Braxton and Monifah, among others. JP Designs Art is proud of its niche within the gospel market, creating imaging not only for church organizations like All Nations Worship Assembly and One Church LA, but also for such renowned performers as Donald Lawrence, The Late Legendary Daryl Coley, Erica Campbell, Anita Wilson, Isaac Carree and others.
Moore’s portfolio also includes work for non-profit organizations; in fact, Moore — who mentors other graphic designers through internships and virtual tutorials — has launched WorkHop ATL, a platform where entrepreneurs and mobile professionals gather to rebuild, recharge, and refine their professional and personal goals effectively. Moore has also partnered with Hope For Harvest, a Charlotte-based non-profit organization and The Dr. Brandon Rogers Memorial Foundation, based in Portsmouth, Virginia to provide branding and marketing materials to support their philanthropic endeavors pro bono. Moore also volunteers at Hawthorne Elementary School throughout the year creating fun learning environments for the students in their Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports Program.
Moore is the recipient of the 2016 Healthy Image of Manhood Award presented by Aaron Follins & The Ovation Foundation, Inc., and most recently received the 2019 Vision Community Foundation Architect of Brand Development Excellence Award.
A devoted husband and committed international traveler, Moore’s motto for 2019 is “Create Without Limits.”
